WHAT IS A COCK RING?

I’ve been asked to explain what a “cock ring” is.  It is a round ring made of leather, latex or metal that fits around the base of the penis and the scrotum, restricting blood flow out of the penis.  It constricts the veins that allow blood to drain out of an erection.

Some men find that wearing a ring prolongs their erections or makes their erections harder.  However, the sensation of pressure may not be pleasant to all men.  In fact, if the man wears a ring that is too tight or wears it for too long, he can cut off too much circulation and may then get bruising.

A ring should be easily removable and not worn for more than one-half hour at a time.  Try not to fall asleep with it on.

The leather rings are best because the straps usually fasten with Velcro or snaps, and you can unfasten them quickly if you get uncomfortable.

If you have a metal ring and it comes too tight, try applying ice to your penis to shrink it down.  If this doesn’t work, a trip to the emergency room may become necessary in order to cut the ring off.
