FIRST TIME FOR WOMEN MAY NOT BE BEST TIME

There are a number of reasons for this.  Often, such an experience occurs in a place where the woman is not entirely comfortable, such as her parent’s or a friend’s home, a hotel, dorm, car, etc.  The couple may be in a hurry because of a lack of privacy, fear of discovery, or lack of experience on the part of one or both partners.

The woman may feel guilty if her behavior does not match her religious or moral beliefs.  If the relationship is not stable or long-term, the woman may feel insecure about the effect that the sexual experience may have on the relationship.

Just because your first sexual experience was not enjoyable does not mean that there’s anything wrong with you or that you’re frigid of that your future experiences won’t be better.  You might wish to take time to think about whether you’re ready to be sexually active.

If you decide you are ready, plan comfortable surroundings and talk about your needs and wants with your partner.  Good communication helps couples to identify what is important to each other in the sexual relationship and makes it more likely that each will get what they want out of the experience.
